Second Concert Choir Tutor ~ Emma Borgas
2CC’s new tutor in 2012 is Emma Borgas. Emma completed a Bachelor of Music Honours at the Elder Conservatorium of Music and a Graduate Diploma in Education in 2010.
She worked as a private voice and piano teacher from 2005 – 2010 at various locations including Tatachilla Lutheran College and Novar Music Learning Centre. Emma’s conducting experience includes working with the Australian Youth Choir for their Performing Arts School workshops and with many choirs at Marryatville High School, where she teaches classroom music. She has recently returned from a conductor’s internship at Gondwana Voices.
Emma loves singing in ensembles and is currently a core member of Adelaide Chamber Singers, who are involved in local and interstate tours and festivals as well as a subscription concert series in Adelaide each year. She has also appeared as a soloist with the Adelaide Philharmonia Chorus, Norwood Symphony Orchestra, Cantabile Singers and Corinthian Singers.
