Locally grown, internationally known
Young Adelaide Voices is a unique South Australian Choir catering for young people aged 5 – 35. This community based, not-for-profit choir school provides a top quality choral education within a friendly and positive environment.

It’s exciting to hear how young choristers grow in skill and maturity as they progress through the choirs and hear how they develop not only in sound but in confidence and teamwork.  These bonds are strong and the music and friendships they make in their years in YAV last a lifetime.

Since its inception in 1988, Young Adelaide Voices has become an internationally renowned choir, having made six overseas tours to Europe, UK, North America, China, Hong Kong and Japan. They have represented Australia in the 2005 World Festival of Children’s Choirs and most recently at the European Youth Choral Festival in Neerpelt, Belgium where they won First Prize Cum Lauda. They have recorded 9 CDs and this year they are touring to Canada.

In 2009 YAV performed as part of Come Out Festival for Young People, the Adelaide Festival Centre's Something on Saturday, the Elder Hall Lunch Hour Series, Adelaide Youth Orchestra's Babies Proms as well as the Credit Union Christmas Pageant and Carols by Candlelight.  In 2010 they are involved in the Adelaide International Festival of Arts Mahler Symphony of a Thousand with the Adelaide and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras and as part of the 2010 Adelaide Fringe.
